Studies show it is effective, maybe as effective, as oral voltaren. Less systemic side effects. It is NOT the same as ibuprofen except that it is also an NSAID. Ibuprofen has very weak anti-inflammatory effects and affects different chemicals in the pain producing cycle. Voltaren can be effective for localized inflammatory pain but it has to be used 3 to 4 times per day for several weeks in order to start noticing the maximal effects.
Ibuprofen is a much better short-term short acting pain reliever but not nearly as effective of a long time reducer of localized inflammation as is voltaren.
Anyway, the studies show that it works but I have found people quit using it because it is a pain to have to apply and let dry so many times per day. So it will work. Even if it is
hecho en Mexico. But I won't help by tomorrow. Or the next day.
