Hill Can Run. So Can Our Backs. Hill Can Throw Deep. Our WRs Can Go Deep...
If we can thread the needle a la the classic BYU passing attack enough to compliment the other stuff in Anae's offense, it seems we can be very good. This might be the most difficult thing to do. Our 2006 offense became great as Beck, Harline, et al became unstoppable, even in tight coverage. I still remember TCU DBs being draped around BYU receivers who hauled in perfectly placed passes despite what was often solid coverage.

Folks think the deep ball will move teams out of stacking the box, and that would certainly help. But the deep stuff is tough to do consistently. If we have a precision short-to-intermediate passing game to compliment our run, most D's we'll face are hosed. The safeties and backers are in a no-win situation at that point, whichever way they cheat, they can get burned. If they have to play us straight up, Hill can go through his reads and pick them apart on the ground or through the air.

At least it sounds good the night after day 1 of camp. Lots of football ahead though.
