It's ridiculous that we give doctors and hospitals a blank check with most medical expenses. My wife has to have a few regular check ups and procedures for her pregnancy and NO ONE can tell her what her cost will be out of pocket. Everyone says, "we won't know until we bill you". Why do we let the industry get away with this? There need to be options, alternatives and treatments presented with pricing fully disclosed before the treatment is delivered except in emergency situations. How did we get to this point?
