Do we know that JSwag was playing in the scrimmage or are we jumping to conclusions? They likely aren't going to have the 2 deep just sit around and watch for an entire practice block. They are going to practice. Then they planned to run a scrimmage for the younger guys. And even if JSwag was scrimmaging...perhaps there was a reason we don't know. Perhaps they wanted to look at a particular group of plays.

And do we know it had anything to do with contact, most ACL's are completely non-contact. Seems to me there is a lot we don't know. Maybe we should get more facts before we go all Ferguson Missouri.
