It won't be about "appeal" any more
Bottom line is if BYU ever finishes the year ranked #5 by the committee's poll (like 1996) then they have to be taken even if a team ranked closely behind them will sell more beer, tickets and hotel rooms...
It is no longer a guy in awful green jacket making the decision to invite a team based on their appeal.
