My understanding is that the employee mandate was originally to kick in Jan of 2014 but was put off until Jan 2015. The employee mandate is supposed to cover all companies with 50+ FTEs (full-time equivalents). My question is: I have also been told by an insurance agent that for 50-99 FTEs there will be no employer mandate until Jan 2016. True?
PS: I realize much of this is subject to change if the Republicans win the Senate in Nov. but what is the law now?
