Of the 39 G5 games, 16 are against what would be considered the 'upper-tier' of
G5 (Boise State, Houston, UCF, Cincinnati, Fresno). Those teams are as good or better than middling P5 teams. That gives us on average about 8 P5/upper G5 opponents each season. We're almost on par with what a Big XII / PAC schedule would give us in terms of attractiveness.
