Anybody else notice an upward trend of women in the church working?
and I'm not talking like little side business stuff like photography. With rises in costs of well, everything, it is getting harder and harder for one income to make it happen. Especially if you have intentions of paying tithing.
I ran through my ward real quick and realized it is well over half of the working age women that are working. Pretty much the ones that aren't are married to upper middle class jobs like attorneys, dentists, or Sr level software engineers/managers.
No wonder MLM's are so big in Mormon circles - we need more money and there is pressure from the Church culture for moms to not work outside the home.
It's tough. Can't judge people for doing what they need to do. It really should come as no surprise less babies are happening.
