I didn't even realize that there were earlier seasons until 5 or 6 episodes in.

I went back to watch the first season, and stopped watching after the terrible terrible first episode. I had a friend who had to pitch it pretty hard to me before I was willing to give it the time investment to watch the earlier seasons. But that said, seasons 2-4 are still probably my favorite.
