I know the Mahe family did this for years when Reno was playing...in the East lot near the player's entrance. I think there is still a group of Polys which has permission to do their pigs and food there - might even still be the Mahes.

I personally believe what we need in the future is ONE location for everyone. As it is now, the RV crowd is down in a lot by the BYU intermural fields and Outdoor Rec rental building, the larger groups which don't have RVs are over in the IPF lot and at the Marriott Center folks can set-up a few chairs and small grill in one parking space. Everything I have seen and read about the best tailgating schools have one thing in common - they are all in one area where people can mingle, interact, share food and basically build-up the anticipation of the game until everyone is at fever pitch.
