You can draw your own conclusions . I believe BYU starts unusually slow in week 1 and therefore will not blow UConn out.

Week 2 scoring average: 34 points
Bowl game scoring average: 29 points

I think there are many variables, but if your argument is that in week 1, the Cougs play good opponents or on the road, compare with Bowl games where all teams are at least good and all games are away from Provo. We start off slow and get better. Maybe everybody does. Because of this, a road blowout against anybody is unlikely.
