I hope they never play again. Neither team has anything to gain.
BYU can't beat Utah. Utah was beating BYU consistently before the P12 invitation. When the PAC happened, the gap got even wider. I have said it over and over...BYU won't beat Utah again while Whitt is there (we will see what happens after this year), and Utah has built in advantages that will make it hard for BYU to ever regain an upper-hand unless Utah makes a terrible coaching hire.
The game is a risk for Utah because they are expected to win, but gain very little from beating a G5 program. Their position has been established. Playing the game now only provides an opportunity for BYU to sneak up and steal a win. This isn't worth it to Utah anymore.
