I love this Independence. Some years we haven't had a game feasible to attend. We figured we would take advantage of this opportunity while its available. My sons and I had planned to go to UCF and MTSU which I thought was pushing it with the HCBW. As we were driving home from the debacle at Uva last year we were discussing our plans when she realized there was a UConn game. She wanted to go to Connecticut as she has never been there. We of course agreed and there was never a mention of removing a game from our plans.

The cool thing is the HCBW isn't a sports fan. She has always tolerated my fanaticism. She loves BYU. None of our family has attended BYU yet. She as do I feel that most anti-BYU sentiment is veiled anti-LDS. BYU sports is another avenue to support the church. Works for me. Yesterday she wanted to know what our options for games next year. Nebraska or Michigan here we come.

The mini-van is rented, car flags and jersey are ready, tickets and hotel confimations are in a folder. UConn officially starts for my group of 7 tomorrow.

Lets start this season right. Go Cougs!
