Yup. I kinda like him. Hes consistent. Life needs more consistent things. For
example: In school growing up there was this kid named "Steve." When we were in elementary school Steve was obsessed with NASCAR. Steve was a lanky, bean pole of a boy. He always wore the same thing; blue and white thin striped overalls complete with a red bandana folded and tucked into the front chest pocket. He had thick rimmed black glasses and gelled his hair up. Even for a Texan he had what would be considered a thick country accent. All Steve spoke about was NASCAR. You knew that if you spoke to Steve you were bound to hear about NASCAR, Mercedes, and various pieces of life advice his mother had told him. People thought Steve was...intellectually deficient.

When my parents moved, I ended up at another school. No more overall Steve. Until 3 years later when I went to junior high.
I arrived anxious and shy at my new school. Then I saw Steve; complete with overalls and NASCAR lunchbox. I felt a sense of comfort.

Years went by that brought major changes to my life; parents' divorce, brothers' death, high school graduation, mission, and college, but the overalls remained.

I never see Steve in person anymore, but on fb I see that hes still talking about NASCAR, he got a job a Mercedes Benz. Sadly, he had to lose the overalls, but inside he is the same person; When life tosses me to and fro' the consistent kid that people thought was intellectually deficient is always there. Just like AndeeAggie.
