you have to make your own atmosphere basically. A lot a few blocks up the road from the stadium in truth is ridiculous. The most obvious spot is the intramural field west of the stadium, but I don't think they want to encourage it. As it stands you have to get to lot 5 early and stake out a spot and battle the parking attendants who only let you set up right behind your vehicle. A canopy works. I think it could grow, it is just a matter of more people in lot 5 actually tailgating. It ebbs and flows with each game and has grown very slowly the last few years.
