Texas' coaches have no current game film on 2 starting CB's and one speedy WR
Against UConn, they see Taysom completing balls to 9 different receivers.

Leslie only caught 2 balls. However, the addition of Blackmon as the Coug's
fastest deep threat who also has good hands means that whatever defense
they might have designed to slow Mathews and Leslie on the outside may not
properly account for Blackmon going deep, or the RB's and slot and TE's
catching stuff underneath.

Now that Taysom is far more accurate with his arm, including those
nifty swing passes to RB's, that means Jamaal is even a greater threat
if he catches swing passes in stride out in the flat, where with his speed if the
first tackler misses, he could be trouble.

I believe the addition of all 5 suspended players to the game plan
will throw some serious wrinkles into the Cougs offense and defense that
will be hard for a new coaching staff to prepare for.

We'll be much stronger on O and D with those 5 guys joining
the rotation. The D will be much tighter, and the O more explosive.

Since Texas will also be much stronger than UConn, it's anybody's guess
as to what the net result will be.

I will die laughing if Blackmon catches a few deep balls to open things up
underneath, and then Leslie goes crazy while they are giving extra
attention to Blackmon and Mathews.

It's always good to spread the ball around to 9 receivers. It's even better
if you add 2 more (the Fontana guys, Jamaal and Blackmon) who happen
to be two of the faster guys on our O.

Last year, the Texas D did not properly anticipate how fast Taysom was
and he made them pay. This year, what if Blackmon was the newest
speed variable that they didn't plan for?

As another fast guy, Dye could enter the game and not be properly
assessed, and he could do damage with his speed while they
were trying to track everyone they have film on.

Anae may be going to sleep with a smile on his face this season, if
the O continues to build on game 1 and adds several doses of
raw speed that were not available at UConn.

Juergens suprised me with his quickness and good hands.

It's fun to see this offense take shape.
