Underneath throws. That is something he could not do last year. Uconn did not have the speed at linebackers to keep up with taysom in a spy setting so they dropped 8 guys to take away the deep ball and big seams for taysom to take off......the problem is that taysom made only two bad throws the entire game.
It was an ok game plan that matched their personnel. They did not have the athletes to compete.
Taysom showed some stuff on Friday that he had never shown before and that is basically hitting his guys in stride on short routes.
I thought taysom's best throw was the opening drive to the back should of Matthews. That throw got me excited. I knew he had turned a corner in the offseason.
