BYU is currently losing 2-0 against a Baylor team that just lost to Utah Valley a few days ago. (And it probably should be 3-0, with a ball rolling between the keeper's legs and magically getting poked away before it crossed the line.)
After 3 games this season, BYU has only scored 2 goals. So overcoming a 2-0 deficit would require BYU to score as many goals in the final 20 minutes as they have scored in the first 360+ minutes of play.
And at this rate, it looks like BYU probably drops the game against Utah later this week as well.
The good news: BYU has several young players, so hopefully it can regroup for conference play. But so far, it appears that this team is several rungs below the great teams of the past few years.
One of the brightest spots so far this season: Nadia Gomes.
