He is truly unlucky. Against UConn, he made one great play on the ball when he and the WR both went high from pretty good position to attempt a pass break up. Most of the time, this would have been successful, but on this play, the WR makes a great catch, landing hard on his back. I dare say that most of the time, the WR drops that ball, and PoVey gets credit for a PBU. Not in this case, though. This has been part of the PoVey curse, not only does he lack a lot of the tools needed to play corner, but even when he does things right, the other player seems to come out on top.
I like him better at safety too.
