Apples and Oranges

ALL division champs in the NFL and ALL conference champs (either through a conference tournament or, in the case of the Ivy League, regular season champs) make the playoffs/tournament. If we had a system where ALL conference champions from FBS were allowed into the playoff, then opening up some extra spots would be legitimate. However, where you only have room for champions from 40% of the conferences, I think delbert has a point.
