PSA: Verizon Customer Service sucks! To where should my family switch?
I'm looking to switch to a different cell service provider. Who should we switch to?

Reader's Digest Version: Verizon was unhelpful and caused us a ton of money based on their mistakes and refused to work with us at all, so we're switching. To whom should we switch?

Full Background:

A few months ago I had a phone break under warranty (it wouldn't charge), and it had no external damage at all. Verizon admitted a manufacturer error, but took 2 weeks to send a replacement to me. Guess what? The replacement was also broken.

I asked for a new one, so they told me to send it in and I could get another replacement in 2 weeks. That would mean I would be 2 weeks without a phone. I asked if I could have a temporary phone in the meantime because the first break was their fault and the replacement being broken was their fault. No dice. In addition, they told me there's no guarantee the new phone would work either and I should just buy a new one (keep in mind, it was a new phone that broke under warranty).

I was very disgruntled, but my family's business has been with Verizon for years, so I bought a new phone. Pretty dishonest business if you ask me.

Fast forward. My little brothers are also on my family's plan... they just got added. In the first part of this new month, my little brother's phone bill said he had used 8 gigs of data. We looked into the breakdown, 4 gigs were for Facebook, 3 were for iTunes, and the rest were miscellaneous. I don't even know if it's possible to use 4 gigs of Facebook in 14 days, but that's what it said. He only uses Facebook at home when he's on wifi (he says, though it's probably not true. But still, 4 gigs in 14 days is almost impossible). Verizon wouldn't drop the bill, even though it was clearly a mistake.

That's not all. The rest of my family had erroneous overages as well. My dad never uses his data, EVER. It said he used 6 gigs of data in 14 days. Two other members of my family "went over" as well. The worst part is Verizon customer service wouldn't even work with us on the charges.

Also, the bill is set up to auto-pay from my parent's account and then we all pay back later. Verizon's system glitched and didn't charge my parents one month. Verizon, even though they admitted it was their fault, decided to charge late fees. They refused to wave them. My parents checked again the next month to make sure it was okay, and they were assured it was set up fine, but it happened again. They refused to wave the fees. So my parents turned off auto-pay this month and just paid it themselves. Even though my parents paid on time, Verizon charged a late fee AGAIN for a reason they can't figure out, and refused to wave it.

With my parents having about 20 employees and I think 10 years with Verizon, it was beyond the last straw. So we're switching. You suck, Verizon.

Who should we switch to?
