I don't pretend to be a football expert, but why is Jurgens playing way more than Blackmon, Pearson or even Dye? If I'm a coach I'm interested in getting my best athletes on the field. I'm not trying to take anything away from Jurgens and the hard work he's obviously put in to get himself to the spot he has, but I've gotta believe that Blackmon and Pearson have more upside and athleticism than him. He's also been fairly ineffective in blocking and obviously had turnover problems last game.

Every time Blackmon touches the ball something exciting seems to happen (even though he had some issues lining up correctly) and Pearson had 3 catches for almost 50 yards against UCONN. I believe Pearson has more yards receiving than Jurgens and he's seen no time the last 2 games.

What am I missing here?

Oh, and I'm sure Pearson and Blackmon are more than capable of learning the position. Let's get our BEST athletes on the field... especially when the starter is not going anything to really shine.
