BYU needs all kinds of fans. And they need to know what kind of experience the various types of fans are looking to have. Then they can do their best to create an experience most conducive to getting and keeping the most fans possible.

But there's no reason to call out other fans and question their level of "fanhood". That's just silly.

As you say - it is entertainment. Nothing more.
