fully functioning iPad-like tablet, and run the legacy desktop stuff that everyone expects from Windows. Microsoft often will sacrifice a bit of usability for compatibility and versatility. Apple has a totally different attitude, which is that until a device has a compelling reason to change the input, like a laptop, it would be pointless to make a change. I prefer Apple's design philosophy, but for people that have specific uses in mind, OS X or iOS will likely never work for them.
