My prediction is that we will beat UVA soundly this Saturday -- which will give us two common opponents with UCLA, with BYU looking better in each match up. And UCLA will still be ranked higher for the following reasons:

1. We played them at Austin, UCLA played Texas in Dallas. Playing a team at a neutral venue is harder than playing them at their home stadium.
2. Austin has real grass, the Jerry Dome has artificial turf.
3. We played Texas early in the season, before they improved.
4. We played UVA later in the season, after we improved and had film to watch.
5. We got UVA at home, while UCLA played UVA on the road.
6. UCLA had to play UVA in Virginia humidity in August.
7. UVA at altitude is NOT the same team as UVA at sea level.
8. We are not a Power 5 team, so Texas really wasn't motivated against us.
9. We have 29 year old returned missionaries.
10. UCLA is in the Pac-12, and going through the Pac is like a meat grinder. Yeah, we have two better wins, but they play these teams WEEK IN and WEEK OUT!!!
