Suggestions were towards the 12.5" over the 11.75", so I bought both and let her pick (I'm so modern). She went with the 11.75". Smaller hands, and it is just to play catch (baseball) with the kids, so no softball. I always felt like we were leaving her out when playing catch.

Anyway - walmart has them for $50, which is a screaming deal for this glove. If you need to get your wife a little something-something, this might be it.
