You literally are the only person I have heard try and defend that. There are multiple other threads on this board about how awful it is. I will say that Szeth is a well-developed character as well. As I thought about him it made me consider that I am too hard on Sanderson's character development. I will never agree about the witticisms though. I think it is some of the worst "banter" I have ever seen in literature. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwful. Maybe I am too wound up about this, but it blows my mind that Sanderson could be so bad at this. It makes me wonder what he is like in person.
