Michigan is bad, but it is ball security.
Michigan had 4 turnovers. They had more yards and more first downs than ND. They couldn't punch it in and couldn't hold onto the ball. Michigan is having serious issues on offense. Their D is ok, not great. Their O has no identity, Hoke is on the hot seat, and their QB makes horrible decisions. They normally play to the level of their competition rather than excelling with the athletes they have. See last years wins over UConn, Acron and overtime loss to OSU. So if they don't make horrible decisions and play to the level of their competition then it will be close. If they just turn the ball over all the time then Hoke loses his job and Michigan is the dumpster fire everyone thinks it is. A plus for UofM is they play MSU each year with preps them for UofU, in that the MSU corners also commit PI on every single play and simply dare the refs to call it each time. Because the refs don't, their corners look good. (this is what the NFL is trying to get away from) UofU is notorious for it as well and UofM will be used to it. They do have a big physical receiver that is hard to cover.
