Worst thing that could happen to BYU this year

Go undefeated and play in the Miami Beach Bowl. Monty this morning seemed adamant he thought this would happen (although he says he wishes he was wrong). For a fan base still hesitant to fully embrace the team after the 2010-2013 seasons I can't imagine anything worse than going undefeated and having all the hype and excitement only to end up playing a mediocre team in a crap bowl.

Please tell me this couldn't happen. I get that our schedule isn't all-SEC, but it's good enough that an undefeated BYU with a Heisman-conversation worthy QB should be into a New Year's bowl right?
