That wouldn't be the worse thing, IMO
In fact, that could really fuel the fire and I think a lot of good could come from it.
The media blasting the system, BYU playing w/ an even bigger chip on their shoulder next year which has worthy schedule, etc. The media would give it a lot of play.
The worst thing that could happen to me would be injury to a certain player. And if they don't change something soon, I think it is actually probable.
