There has been a sizable fan base of BYU alum filling up Texas and non-western
… locations. I think the housing crisis/recession sent a LOT of young families and newly unemployeds to the midwest and south. There are A LOT of LDS/BYUers in big cities throughout Texas and beyond.
I don't think it comes close to rivaling the LDS footprint in PAC12 country … but I think there would be great representation for the Cougars in B12 too. (Plus, it's closer to me!)
