rather than expand them. I could easily see consolidation of the bigger programs to grab a further share of the pie. Each of the five P5 conferences has at least 2 programs that are usually bad and located in undesirable TV markets. If they could consolidate the number of conferences down to four or less somehow, they could probably eliminate a dozen schools which are currently effectively being subsidized and they could hoard more money for the big boys.
