Hester returned punts/kicks at a rate nearly TWICE as frequently as Deion. Hester is undoubtedly the better returner, but Deion was the better overall player. Hester's only real value is as a returner. Yes, he has his share of receptions, but Deion played defense and was a great CB. He had a propensity to bite on fake pumps and get burned from time to time, but his closing speed and ability to jump a route was amazing.
