"convicted felon and associate of the Genovese crime family". When I saw the comment about working for an indicted felon, it reminded me of this.
I didn't work for this guy, but we sat across the table and negotiated a purchase from him. I still wonder if there were kickbacks between him and members of my negotiating team, but I have no proof. I only know that we paid WAAAAAY too much money for the asset. About $10 million too much. He was left with a note payable from us and he was allowed to keep that in his indictment.
The feds came in about a year after the sale, but during the deal, we all knew he was mafia.
I spent a lot of one on-one-time with his accountant, both before and after the indictment. That guy scared me too.
The even more scarier guy's name (Galante's partner) was Tommy Milo. More of the enforcer type.
