When P5 teams barely beat their FCS punching bags, everyone notices. When those same P5 teams barely beat another P5 powerhouse, they're given a lot of slack. I think that's reasonable.

If BYU were playing any powerhouse teams this year, and we're not, we could get away with winning by 7 or less. Unfortunately, our toughest opponents are "decent", but it's possible none will break into the top 25. We've got to beat them all by at least 2 TDs to get the respect we need to get in a NY6 bowl. If most of our games end up like Houston, we're not getting in. We've got to beat them like Texas and UConn.
