recently with all the USU fans coming here to talk smack. I was looking forward to having 2 weeks of it this year, but it seems they are going to stay away and the game itself likely won't be that exciting. The USU fans I know seem to be very surprised and upset at the way in which their team has gone downhill. Not to pile on, but I don't understand why that is surprising. Most programs "regress to the mean" after anomalous seasons. The key is recognizing that their one season of double digit wins and top 25 ranking was the anomaly, not some new norm.

Of course, we BYU fans try to convince ourselves that the good anomalies are new norms, too, so I can't blame Aggies too much. The true norm for BYU is that they are a team that regularly hangs around the top 25, but not the top 10.
