I am hearing lots of complaining about the BYU win yesterday. Let me start by saying if you expect a team to come out and beat every team they play by 4 touchdowns, then be ready to be disappointed most of the time. When you look at all the great teams across the country, including BYU, you will find that almost always a team has several games each year that they barely squeak by. At the end of the day a win is a win. Sure you will still hear media bashing about how a game was closer than it should have been. But anyone that has played competitive sports at a high level knows that some times you have an off day. The best teams find a way to win on off nights. The best teams can over come penalties and miscues to get the W. I look forward to seeing this BYU team when it is clicking and healthy. Being a great team does not mean you never have an off night. In years past BYU has lost games on off nights and has had trouble over coming adversity. If anything I am more encouraged by this team as I watch them fight for wins even when things don't go their way. Sure I still complain over stupid mistakes. But I will continue to enjoy the wins even when they are too close for comfort. Looking forward to 5-0.
