My HCBW has never seen the Grand Canyon, so I thought the two of us would swing by on our way from S. Cal. to Lake Powell/Page. We get on the houseboat Tuesday, October 7, at noon, so we could head to Arizona either Sunday afternoon or early Monday.

I haven't made any reservations yet. We could stay outside the park Sunday night and have all day Monday to sightsee, staying in the park Monday night before we head to Powell. Or leave the park Monday night and drive to Page.

Any recommendation for places to stay, places to eat, or things to do on a one day stopover?
