I need to get into better shape!
I also need to lose some weight. I've decided on a goal of 30 lbs in the next 5.5 months. In the past, I have been able to lose weight by purposefully watching and tracking my exercise and changing my diet (my last successful weight loss included the succession of all soda and cutting back on ice cream). I've decided to really geek out this time an track all of my exercise and caloric intake. I need some help deciding on a method for tracking everything.
I currently have a fitbit that will track my steps, time exercising and weight. I don't have anything to track my caloric intake. Ideally, I would like to have something that automatically imports my fitbit results. What are your recommendations?

Quantitative - Lose 30 lbs (using a 7 day sliding average) by March 8, 2015
Qualitative - Lose the gut, look better, feel better
Periodic Goals and Methods:
100,000 Steps per week
100 flights of stairs per week
Weekly Caloric Intake (determine and adjust based on weekly results) - any suggestions?
Other weekly exercise (determine and adjust based on weekly results - include weight and resistance exercises) - any suggestions?
Tracking Method:
???????? - This is where I still need a lot of help
