It has nothing to do with us not being in a conference (TCU v Texas Tech, come on). Even if Alabama was playing on Thursday night, the ratings would have been down. Granted, the rating would have been higher than BYU's because it is Alabama but probably not higher than a 1.0 or 1.5 rating.

Go to Sports Media Watch and we have had below average ratings this year compared to the powerhouse teams and matchups. That said, when you compare us to the other in-state schools, they haven't even been on national TV (through three weeks).

It all depends on what rating you are comparing BYU's to.
