Worst case scenario coming to be?

Here is espn.com bowl projections. BYU is listed for the Miami Bowl, as East Carolina is slated for the Peach Bowl. If both teams continue on the same trajectory, then East Carolina will be top 10 and be guaranteed a NY6 bowl and BYU could be left out. No reason for a NY6 bowl to let two G5 teams in. Will be interesting to see how things shake out.
