The goals for BYU are:
1. To win the National Championship
2. To go to a NY6 bowl game
3. To achieve the highest ranking possible
4. To win as many games as possible
5. To be bowl eligible and play the best bowl team possible
6. To be better than Utah
If you want to see these goals accomplished here is your rooting guide:
A. Cheer for BYU. Duh.
BYU bye week. Everybody go to class and behave yourself.
B. Cheer for the team playing Utah. If we need help from Utah in any way then it is not worth having.
Washington St. over Utah
C. Cheer for BYU’s opponents. This helps SOS.
Cal (2-1) over Colorado
Texas (1-2) over Kansas
Virginia (2-2) over Kent St.
Boise St. (3-1) over Air Force
MTSU (2-2) over Old Dominion
UConn (1-3) over Temple
UNLV (1-3) over SDSU
Nevada (2-1) over San Jose St.
D. Cheer for teams playing teams that are ranked. If both teams are ranked cheer for the team with more probable losses in their future (Of course rules A-C trump rule D).
North Carolina St. over #1 Florida St.

Arkansas over #6 Texas A&M
Iowa St. over #7 Baylor
Syracuse over #8 Notre Dame
Wyoming over #9 Michigan St.
Memphis over #10 Ole Miss
#11 UCLA over #15 Arizona St. (UCLA plays 3 common opponents with BYU: Texas, Virginia, and Cal. Plus, UCLA still has Stanford, USC, and Oregon on the schedule which is just as many likely losses as ASU).
Tennessee over #12 Georgia
Missouri over #13 South Carolina
Washington over #16 Stanford
New Mexico St. over #17 LSU
Oregon St. over #18 USC
South Florida over #19 Wisconsin
Illinois over #21 Nebraska
Cincinnati over #22 Ohio St.
Miami over #23 (Coaches Poll) Duke
Texas Tech over #24 Oklahoma St.
UTEP over #25 Kansas St.
E. Cheer for our Opponents’ opponents unless they are playing our opponents. This helps our SOS in virtually every SOS calculation. The more connected a team is to our opponents the more you should cheer for them (unless it violates rules A-D). Air Force is the most connected team to our opponents as they play 4 games against them (Boise St., Nevada, UNLV, Utah St.). The number by the team indicates how connected they are. If the numbers are equal take the team who has lost or will most likely lose to our opponents.
