It's unfortunate that a seasoned, not coming off an injury Taysom Hill will...
never get a crack at Utah. Hill was still green, still learning a new offense, and coming off an off season where his focus was on rehab more than the offense. Still that game was winnable. He'll never get a shot to play the rivalry game in a season where he has a great chance to make it to New York because the Utes chickened out. Quit. Folded. Surrendered.

They can spin it a billion ways, but the bottom line is they traded a top 10 rivalry game for Fresno. Glad they succumbed to pressure and jumped back aboard but in my opinion the next time we face them, we will come in having won the last two matchups by forfeit. That's what you call it when an opponent won't show up.

And they did pick two great years to cower. Hill as a junior and senior is a force of nature. He's shattering "Bronco can't" across the board. No 1-2. No 3rd game loss. No losing in all whites. Hill knocks down strawmen as fast as people put them up. I kinda think a healthy, experienced Hill would be a lot for Utah to handle. And even though Whittingham schemes well for BYU...you can't completely scheme away raw ability. Hill has it.

No, Utah would not enjoy a Hill that throws for 33% against them this year. And they wouldn't have much advantage...if any...in the trenches this year. An experienced Hill should get a shot at Utah. Too bad they folded.
