Out of 125 teams, BYU has defended more passes than ANY TEAM in the entire NCAA. Our opponents have attempted 190 passes against us through 4 games. The next highest that I could see were Oregon, Utah State, and Boise State, who have each defended 170-175 passes. That is an astounding number, IMO, especially when you consider that we still have a respectable pass efficiency defense of 112.
It's true, we have given up more passing yards than anyone else in the top 50 of PED except Miss. St. But a big part of that is because our opponents pass against us so often.
Any thoughts on all of this?
