My son has aptitude for business or law in my opinion. I went to law school and wished I knew more economics. I studied philosophy and history. Both were fine backgrounds.

So my suggestion to him is that he consider econ. Maybe an English or philosophy minor for the writing emphasis. And then maybe do a JD/MBA. It is a ways down the road for him, but I am giving him input on how to look at different majors.

I am definitively advising him not to choose his major his first year, but to try different subjects and see what he likes. But how do you guys see the different majors in preparing someone for law or MBA school?
