Those who make the narrative want to be able to speak from a position of direct knowledge. When they are talking about BYU and the SOS and the playoff and NY6 and Taysom's Heisman chances they want to be able to say, "BYU looked very good against USU and Hill is a legit candidate...or...BYU struggled against a weakened USU team and Hill really hasn't show the full grasp of playing QB." Whatever they want to say, and make no mistake, most will go in looking to confirm their own opinion, whatever they want to say they want to say from a position of direct knowledge.

For this reason it's important that BYU again get off to a good start. First impressions are important, even in individual games. So I think those that matter will at least watch a half. They are pros and it's their job.
