My 14-year old has a similar procedure a couple years ago (Evans procedure?) and the Achilles surgery a couple years before that. He will always have a slight limp and some strength/flexibility issues becuase of his CP, but he isparticipating in his first team sport ever this season: running on his Jr. High Cross Country team. And he is not even close to being the slowest runner at meets or even on his own team. It's absolutely amazing, and I am so proud of him. Good luck to you and your son, too.
