I'm all for building up BYU. But I think other areas and university communities are well-served when sharp LDS kids go to other programs. My daughter is very grateful for the other LDS kids at Virginia who chose to go there instead.

you could argue that "building up zion" and missionary work are augmented when LDS kids go to these other places too
