The speakers are too quiet. The ROC can barely hear them. How are we supposed to go crazy on "Third Down for What" if we can barely tell what song is playing?
I've been to probably about 100 venues for college and pro sports. Um... it's much better with louder music. The atmosphere completely flips. Go to one Real Salt Lake game... it feels different, no? I went to a few Avalanche games last year, the music was louder and the atmosphere more electric. Same with games at Texas, Boise State, and the like.
Heck, BYU basketball's atmosphere is much better, and I think music might have something to do with it. It completely flips the atmosphere.
As of now, the band is the only thing that the ROC can hear... and usually what they do is head-ducking worthy. Popcorn-popping and eighties songs seem to be the playlist, and they don't know the appropriate times to play them.
The speakers have MUCH more capacity than they are being used for. Turn the speakers up and the band down. That would improve the atmosphere tenfold IMHO.
