Criddle just played Robert Anae's interview and told a funny anecdote that I thought I'd share. It doesn't come across in the text, but Criddle does an excellent, spot on Robert Anae impression that is hilarious.
A couple of years ago at media day, Criddle was standing by some of the lifesize quarterback cutouts and noticing that Criddle was looking at them, Robert Anae grabs his shoulder, pulls him in close and says:
Anae: "Criddle... What do those quarterbacks have in common?"
Criddle: "I don't know... they're all BYU Quarterbacks?"
Anae: "None of them have grass stains on their knees - we blocked for each one of them" "Just remember that I'm a national champion. You're a conference champion, but I'm a national champion"
Anyway - thought I would share it. It was hilarious to listen to Criddles impression right after hearing his interview.
Anae today in the press conference was asked about the differences between the Arizona line and the current BYU OL. His reply was:
"You know, I only know about 1 offensive line that I would call great and that's the one I played on"..... Silence "That was a joke".
Nice to see Dr. Bob trying to loosen up. He's working on it and it's refreshing. Both he and Bronco have improved their interviews quite a bit over the years. Dr. Bob still has a long way to go, but he seems to be giving it an honest effort.
